Bremer Zine Festival 2022

Kulturnetz e.V., die Hochschule für Künste Bremen, die Städtische Galerie Bremen sowie die  Musiker*inneninitiative Bremen laden zur Teilnahme am Bremer Zine Festival 2022 ein.

Das Festival ist offen für Grafik und Kunstzines, DIY-Comics aber auch Text und Literaturzines. Daneben sind Fanzines zu den unterschiedlichsten Themen willkommen.

Comic-, Zine- und Heftmacher*innen aus der Region, Deutschland und auch darüber hinaus, haben an drei Tagen die Gelegenheit ihre Hefte, Bücher, Drucke, Karten, Klapp-, Falt-, Schau- und Lesearbeiten den Besucher*innen im Rahmen einer Messe zu präsentieren und auch zum Kauf anzubieten. Angesprochen sind sowohl einzelne Heftmacher*innen und  Künstler*innen, aber auch Gruppen und Kollektive sowie Kleinstverlage.

Veranstaltungsort der Zinemesse ist die am Werdersee gelegene Städtische Galerie Bremen mit ihren 780 qm Ausstellungsfläche in der Bremer Neustadt.

In Abhängigkeit von der Coronalage während des Festivals ist auch ein kulturelles Rahmenprogramm geplant aus Lesungen, Vorträgen und Performances. Veranstaltungsort für das Rahmenprogramm ist die im gleichen Gebäude befindliche Musiker Initiative Bremen.

Interessent*innen bewerben sich bis zum 15. Juni 2022 über das Formular auf unserer Webseite.

Wir benötigen einen kurzen Infotext und mindestens 3 Bilder für die weitere PR zur Verwendung im Internet und auf Instagram sowie eure Kontaktdaten.

Nach Sichtung der Bewerbungen bekommen Ende Juni alle Bewerber:innen eine Rückmeldung per E-Mail. Die eingeladenen Austeller:innen erhalten alle weiteren Informationen und ihnen wird eine Bankverbindung übermittelt. Sobald die Standgebühr eingegangen ist, gelten die Plätze als reserviert.

Aufgrund der Coronapandemie gelten in Absprache mit der Städtischen Galerie Bremen folgende Regelungen:

  • Zum gegebenen Zeitpunkt (Mai 2022) ist die Anzahl der Tische und damit der Aussteller*innen und Aussteller*innengruppen auf 40 limitiert.
  • Während der Öffnungszeit ist nur eine Person als Betreuungsperson pro Tisch zugelassen, da es eine maximal zugelassene Besucher:innenzahl gibt.
  • Nur vollständig geimpfte / genesene Person dürfen die Tische betreuen.
  • Es besteht Maskenpflicht.

Ggf. werden diese Regelungen während des Festivals entsprechend der aktuellen Pandemiesituation angepasst.

Bremen Zine Festival 2022

Kulturnetz e.V., the University of the Arts in Bremen, the Städtische Galerie Bremen and the Musiker Intiative Bremen are happy to invite DIY artists, graphic artists, comic artists and zine producers from Bremen and abroad to participate at the Bremen Zine Festival 2022.

The three-day festival is open for graphic and art zines, DIY comics and literary zines as well as any other kind of text-based fanzine. We welcome individual artists but also groups and collectives as well as the inclined micro-editor. And of course the broad field of fanzines, including music, film or political zines, is also more than welcome.

The festival-fair will take place in the Städtische Galerie Bremen (780 sqm) right next to the Werdersee in the Neustadt neighbourhood of Bremen. There the participants will present their zines, comics or other printed, drawn, folded or rolled-up works to the public and the interested customers. 

Depending on the corona situation there will also be a festival programme consisting of lectures, readings, workshops, performances and/or other events during the festival. This will take place at the Musiker Initiative Bremen which is located in the same building.

Applicants have to register by June 15 2022 via the form on our website.

Applicants have to submit a short info-text, at least 3 pictures for the further PR  that also can be used on the internet (including our website, Facebook and Instagram). You also need to provide a name and contact details of the applicant (or at least of one person that is part of any applying collective).

Once the application period is closed, all applicants will receive an e-mail message. Invited exhibitors and tablers will receive further information, including bank details to wire the table fee. As soon as we receive the fee, the booking of the table is confirmed.

Because of the ongoing corona pandemic there are some regulations and restrictions at Städtische Galerie:

  • There is a limitation of 40 tables (May 2022, number of tables may change in the light of new developments). 
  • During the opening hours only one person is allowed to take care of each table.
  • Only fully vaccinated or cured individuals are allowed to take care of the table.
  • It is mandatory to wear a mask.

In the light of new pandemic developments, these regulations may be lifted by/at the time the festival takes place, but it may also happen that they will be enforced.
